Techniques

Techniques consist of:
Effleurage – derived from the French word effleurer meaning “gentle pressure”. It consists of smooth flowing and continuous long gliding strokes to warm up the muscle tissue and enhance the relaxation experience.
Petrissage – derived from the French word “petrir” meaning to knead. Kneading, lifting & rolling techniques are used to help improve muscle blood circulation, increase muscle tone & deep muscle relaxation.
Friction – circular and cross fibre friction movements help to increase blood flow and tissue mobility.
Tapotement – repeated rhythmical percussion movements to the superficial tissue. The brisk movements stimulate the nerve endings which produce tiny muscular contractions, resulting in an overall increase in muscle tone. Techniques such as hacking, pummelling & cupping are used.

Jason was very friendly, knowledgeable and had an understanding of the time constraints necessary for returning to sport and work after injury. Best of all the treatment and rehabilitation suggested by Jason cured the shoulder injury.

Lisa really knows!

Absolutely incredible!! Lisa was able to work through/undo some long standing tension points in my hips and lats and neck. I am so so thankful to see her today – I didn’t realise how stiff I had become. Lisa really knows how the body works and was so kind to share her knowledge!

Thank you so so much!

Helped me recover from a knee reconstruction

Nicki really helped me recover from a knee reconstruction last year which I seriously believed would never allow me to able to play soccer again. However after just a few sessions I was able to begin to run again and ended up playing the majority of the following season. She gave me the self confidence to go back to sport and made sure my leg and muscles were at the condition to go back to playing a high contact sport. I would probably still not be playing sport today without Nicki’s help, would and do definitely recommend her for injury treatment!
