Welcome Letitia Coker

Welcome Letitia Coker

We welcome Letitia Coker to the team at IC Sports Therapies!

Letitia is a Medical Herbalist, Registered Nurse and a Mum. She has a special interest in stress and anxiety, and helps people have the fortitude to cope with what life throws at them, to live well, be well and regain their health. Her passion is working with children, teens and adults whose lives are plagued by stress and anxiety, to create a brighter, healthier future.

Letitia works with clients who have many medical conditions, treating the underlining stresses, with the support of Herbal Medicine, supplements, diet and life style choices. The combination of using current medical knowledge alongside alternative natural therapies, gives her a wholistic approach to treating the source of your health concerns.

Do you suffer from fatigue, stress, anxiety, depression, life seems to just get on top of you? Do you get bloated, have digestive complaints, feel sluggish, find it hard to get up and go, your energy levels are in your boots? Are you irritable, cranky, have mood swings and just don’t feel right? Do you have recurring illnesses that you don’t seem to be able to shift? Maybe you have a chronic illness, such as chronic fatigue, glandular fever, fibromyalgia and an autoimmune disease or your health is just not what you would like?

IC Sports Therapies says welcome Ann Swinney.

Ann Swinney

Join with us to welcome Ann Swinney, who has a long held passion for helping people. This has been evident in her corporate career in human resources and now with massage therapy.  She thrives on identifying problem areas and helping people in their recovering and feeling better.

She has completed her Certificate IV in Massage Therapy and has one subject left to complete her Diploma in Sports Therapies.  She will also complete her Diploma in Remedial Massage this year.

In her spare time, Ann loves spending time with her family and seeing her son grow and thrive.  She is also maintaining her fitness through participating in triathlons and fun runs and trying to make sure her son doesn’t beat her. She is quietly pleased he can now run and swim faster than her and hopes he has a passion for looking after his health for life.

IC Sports Therapies are happy to extend a warm welcome to Ann as she joins our Team, and look forward to a long and happy association with her.

Ann is no longer with IC Sports Therapies, and we wish her well in her future.

The new year at IC Sports Therapies brings changes

The Team, 16/3/2017
Our team (L to R) is Lisa Barnes, Steve Cooke,
Nicki Cooke, Jason Maxworthy, Colin Parish, and…

Brigitte Batten.

Brigitte Batten is a Macquarie University graduate with a passion for sports (especially gymnasts and dancers) due to her elite gymnastics background along with coaching/judging experience in gymnastics. She chose to study chiropractic due to an accident causing her to stop gymnastics and now her goal is to help people be able to overcome their injuries so they can continue doing the sport or activities they love doing. Brigitte has been an elite gymnast for 8 years before the injury, with her favourite apparatus, the beam. She is still very involved with gymnastics as she is an Advanced Gymnastics Coach and an Intermediate Gymnastics Judge with a club in Hornsby, coaching with a range of levels from kindygym, dance, school classes to high level gymnasts.

Brigitte ceased her practice at IC Sports Therapies in January 2019.

Lisa and Colin

Lisa is temporarily unavailable until the end of the month, but will be back with new availability of Thursdays and Fridays, starting Feb 1st.
While Lisa is away, please book your Relaxation Massage treatments with Colin Parish online.

Colin is also starting a new term of Pilates Classes, both in small group classes (maximum of 4) and in one-on-one sessions.

Change of clinic hours 16 Oct – 27 Oct 2017

Changing our hours

We would like to advise that IC Sports Therapies are changing our opening hours for the two-week period Monday 16 October to Friday 27 October 2017.

The changed hours are in response to our reduced staffing levels, with our Principal Therapist  Nicki Cooke away, serving as a Team Therapist at the Indoor Cricket Masters Trans-Tasman tournament in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand.

The continuing needs of our clients are being met by Jason, Colin and Lisa, our Physiotherapy, P.T. & Pilates, and Swedish Massage therapists.

For both weeks of 16-27 October, our clinic hours will be 8:00am – 5:00pm. Our phones will be answered by Steve, who will answer your enquiries and take your bookings.

For these weeks, our therapists are available by appointment as follows:

• Jason: Mon 8am-12 noon, Tue 9am-6pm, Wed 8am-12 noon, Thu 9am-6pm, and Fri 8am-12 noon.

• Colin: Mon 11am-3pm, Tue 8:30am-1pm, and Thursday 8am-3pm.

• Lisa: Wed 9am – 4pm, and Friday 9am-6:30pm.

From 30 October we will again have our full complement of staff, and will resume our normal opening hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Please note that Nicki already has limited bookings available for the weeks before 14 October, so we advise you to get in and book a time with Nicki ASAP.

On-line Bookings for the next 120 days can be made any time, at http://icsportstherapies.com.au/bookings/.

Best regards

Looking for local heroes!

Nominate a local hero who deserves a massage.

Tell us at IC Sports Therapies why you think they deserve a special treat, and our staff will select one person, each week during September, to be given our special care.

Send your nomination through our Contact form, or message us on Facebook.

[Update] One of our friends has nominated “the fire fighters and volunteers who have been doing the backburning in hornsby kuringgai area so that we would be safe in the fire season. I don’t know it is doable but they are our heroes in the area at the moment. Thank you for the opportunity to give thanks to local heroes.”

As a result of her nomination, we are prepared to give them a 50% discount if they come in before the end of September. (We already give 10% discount to ALL emergency services)
