IC Sports Therapies extend our congratulations to Harry, Tom, Sam and Scott, whose team “Perfect Line” conquered the Sydney 2018 Oxfam Trailwalker journey last weekend.
The 2018 trail featured the well-known Great North Walk and the Harbour to Hawkesbury Walking Track in the beautiful bushland of northern Sydney. The 100km trail began in the riverside township of Brooklyn, passed through Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and Berowra Regional Valley Park to Bobbin Head, and then continued to St Ives, Frenchs Forest, Middle Harbour, and finally Manly.
Harry, Tom, Sam and Scott ran their debut 100km run, and their team finished in 17 hours 19 minutes, first in their category, age and gender classes, and FIRST OVERALL !!!
Together they raised $7,360 for people living in poverty around the world, and you can help increase that total by adding your donation on their team page.
It was a huge effort, and we are so proud of you! Congratulations!!!

I am a mother of two teenage children. I understand the constant struggle to have balance in our lives. Being there for your family, providing for your family, trying to stay fit and healthy. When the stresses in life start to impact our physical and mental wellbeing we start to feel overwhelmed and our body reacts.
I can help you regain balance in your life. Whether you are sitting at a desk all day, training for a sporting team, recovering from injury, renovating the house and garden, raising young children, there comes a time when our body needs attention.
I am passionate about providing the best treatment outcomes possible and working towards clients’ long term health goals. I am part of a multidisciplinary clinic where we work collaboratively to get the best results for our clients.
I use a number of postural and functional movement tests to establish a starting point, which can also be used at the end of treatments to see how well the body has responded. These help guide me to choose the best possible treatment plan and follow up treatments.
So whether you want to relax, unwind & relieve tension, reduce pain, rebalance or improve mobility I will be able to use a combination of soft tissue massage, stretching, strength exercises and taping to reach your goals.
Benefits of massage:
Reduced pain
Improved functional movement (mobility around joints)
Move more freely
Improved overall well being
Help reduce the risk of injury
Alleviates soreness
Reduce recovery time
Enhance circulation
Decrease blood pressure

Jason Maxworthy grew up in the local Hornsby area and from a young age was involved in local soccer and cricket clubs. In playing for these clubs he developed a passion for these sports, and sport in general. This passion led to his interest in sports injury and recovery, and started him on the path of becoming a physiotherapist in Hornsby.
Jason, still playing and being involved in sport, knows the frustration that injuries can cause and the desire people have to be back out there playing. His aim is always to get you back on the pitch and playing as soon as possible.
Jason Maxworthy has been practicing as a Physiotherapist in both Western Sydney and Hornsby since 2015, when he gained his Master of Physiotherapy degree from the University of Sydney. He is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA).
Jason has a SIRA provider number to provide treatment services to workers in the NSW workers compensation system.
Jason’s Interests
Soccer
Jason Maxworthy has played and been involved with his local soccer club for 20 years. Playing from the age of 6, he is still currently playing and has been involved in the clubs Premier League squad for the last 8 years. As well as playing, his passion for the sport has led him to coach teams for his local club for over 6 years. He is also now involved on the Clubs Committee. Jason’s love for the sport has led to him developing a keen interest in injuries associated with soccer, in particular ankle and knee injuries.
Cricket
Jason has played and been involved with his local cricket club for nearly 20 years. Playing all throughout juniors, and now plying his trade in seniors he has developed a love for the sport. Having worked his way up the ranks Jason has now made nearly 200 appearances for the club, continues to develop his game and to grow in his experience with cricket related injuries.
